TUCKED OUT THE WAY

A big benefit and unique to Bamburgh is that Field End is a few minutes walk to the beach, castle and restaurants on Front Street, but is accessed off a long gravel drive, so feels like a secluded hamlet in the middle of the country side with lovely views of rolling hills, horses, highland cattle and other farm animals.

LAYOUT

Field End is a beautiful stone built house that has been re built and refurbished to suit modern day living with 3 en suite bedrooms to sleep 6 or 7 people in 3 kingsize beds and a single. It is ideal for a family holiday, or groups of friends, as it has a lovely big open plan kitchen with an Aga and large table allowing everyone to socialise. Retreat to the peaceful sitting room, bedroom, or garden to find a quiet corner.

LOCATION

Field End is a couple of minutes walk from Front street, where you can cross to the green, an ideal place for the dog and children to play football have a run around or simply watch a cricket match in full swing, be it the local team or visiting children, or visit a tearoom up the road for hot chocolate and cake. Beyond the green is of course the majestic award winning beach, one of the best in Britain where you can walk along to Budle Bay or to Seahouses or simply enjoy a picnic on the beach. For the more adventurous why not try your hand at surfing or simply enjoy an exhilarating swim in the sea.

An added bonus is the private parking, quite scarce in Bamburgh, where you can park two cars outside the house.

A NOTE FROM THE OWNER

As far as sports go, there is so much to do. The tennis court is next to the green or why not take advantage of the surf lessons on the beach? Bikes can be hired locally or bring your own. Bamburgh Castle golf course is a five minute drive away and offers a fabulous game of golf with the most stunning views of the castle, Budle Bay, Holy Island and of course the Cheviots.
