Field Ends has it all. A fabulous south facing kitchen /diner/sitting room with an Aga and an electric oven, floor to ceiling Solarlux bifold doors which bring views of the south facing garden straight into the house, as well as the country side beyond, flooding it with natural light and a cosy sitting area too. The downstairs also benefits from a sitting room with Aga log burners and views over the garden, fields and hills to the South, and yet another field to the north with Rock Cottage and Windy Edge ( another two of our rentals) in the distance, plus of course the castle. Sited off the kitchen is a large entrance lobby which is perfect for all the beach clobber and the dog, a utility room and a downstairs shower room.
BAMBURGH
Bamburgh is one of the few seaside villages which is fully used all year round and Windy Edge is ideally placed to enjoy everything it has to offer. A two minute walk will get you to the Copper Kettle tea room for homemade cake or for something a bit stronger simply pop into one of the three pubs for a sandwich and a drink for lunch or why not push the boat out at the Potted Lobster for some locally caught seafood, all within a ten minutes walk. Bamburgh tennis club is a couple of minutes walk plus the castle and green, the ideal place to watch the world go by and of course the beach. For the more adventurous Bamburgh Golf Club is just up the road and options to surf if that’s your thing.
YOUNGER GENERATION IN MIND
The sitting room is ideally suited to a cosy evening in or just relaxing with a book with lovely squishy leather sofas to relax and drink in the spectacular views, the younger generation are also catered for with toys and board games, TV and Wii.
THE GARDEN
The south facing, garden has been laid with artificial grass so children can play out whatever the weather. Just step out of the bifold doors straight onto a terrace which has been tiled with wood affect ceramic tiles to match those indoors, making it a perfect spot for chilling with a glass of wine or a barbeque or just watching the children play, or enjoy the beautiful view. The garden is south facing with stone walling all around giving it tranquillity and privacy and making it a perfect suntrap. It has a large cast aluminium table with 10 chairs, perfect to catch the sun all day.
WE'VE THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING
Field End really has it all. It has been refurbished to the highest specification with families and friends in mind, be it a special occasion, a family holiday or simply a get together with friends, there is lots of space for people to be together or to break away for a bit of quiet time to read a book in peace or contemplate the stunning views. The beauty of the house is that everything is in walking distance - be it the village store for all your essentials or the renowned Carters butchers for their Bamburgh bangers or hot steak pie. We have tried to think of everything from Nespresso machine to an Aga, and we even have a warm water tap outside for the dog or sandy children to hose off after a day on the beach. If you want to stay somewhere special, and totally unique in Bamburgh, this is the place.
