We had a fantastic week for new year. The cottage had a beautiful Christmas tree and a lovely hamper to welcome us. The house was clean, comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Great to have a log burner in kitchen which is a great social space and the open fire in the lounge was nice too. Only negative was there was not enough logs to light both fires. There was also only one pillow each a few spares would be ideal. Location was perfect, could walk to beach in 5 minutes, we also walked the coastal path to both Low Newton and Seahouses. It is ideal for dogs and the enclosed garden is a great size. The children loved the swing and trampoline and we made good use of the family games provided. We enjoyed late afternoon drinks after a walk in the dog friendly, nearby Craster Arms. I would definitely recommend this house and we would love to return.

Cottage was really nice, lovely large garden. Great location for exploring Northumberland. Excellent welcome hamper on arrival. We all really enjoyed our stay at Windy Edge.

Very comfortable cottage, with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Good location for access by foot to Beadnell beach and the village centre where there’s two pubs and a cafe. The only drawback is the cottage is next to a cow field and during warm weather there are a lot of flies.

Took a bit of finding - could do with a sign at the drive entrance - what a great cottage. Nice big rooms. Well equipped to a good standard. In a field so very peaceful. Garden is a special place. 5 mins walk to great beach. 10 mins walk to pub. 5 mins drive to Seahouses. 10 mins to A1. Great base for exploring. Oh, did I mention log fires? Couldn’t have been better.

A beautiful cottage set in a wonderful location, Windy Edge is immaculate and I cannot fault any aspect of it. Comfortable and spacious and perfectly clean and tastefully decorated throughout, it's certainly a home from home ( just far more tidy than mine !!) The local village has a very friendly and well stocked general store and the supermarket at Seahouses is only a five minute drive away. I loved the beach and the amazing medieval field-works that the property is located within. Easy to get to any of the larger towns but perfect to remain at the cottage by an almost private huge sandy beach , a benefit of a winter's stay, and come home to a real fire. My three children and dog made full use of the large safely enclosed garden and we all enjoyed the wide skies and amazing sunsets and nightime stars. A perfect stay.

We had an excellent week at Windy Edge. Weather was kind to us so lots of great walks on the local beaches. The cottage is ideal for anyone wanting to stay close to the sea and easy access to Bamburgh, Seahouses and further afield. Great garden to be able to enjoy in the sunshine and the views.

Great place to stay for fantastic beaches castles and food . The house had everything we could want apart from a dustpan. The welcome hamper was very much enjoyed by all . Would recommend to anyone and we hope to be back ourselves.

We loved our holiday at Windy Edge! The property had everything we needed for our stay and was in a perfect location for the beach and the pub. My boys loved the garden and the trampoline. They also loved how the cows in the field next to the house literally mooed to get our attention at the kitchen window! Such a lovely part of Northumberland, would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Windy Edge Farmhouse. Lovely property perfectly situated for Beadnell beach. The two local pubs were great and very friendly. Gorgeous coastline. Particularly liked the sheep saying hello at the window! Will book again!

We have been to Beadnell many times and the farmhouse is definitely the best. Excellent location for the village and the beach. We will booking again.

The house is fab - photos don’t do it justice. Rooms are a good size and beds are comfy. Garden is amazing and location is perfect. 5 minutes from Beadnell and 5 minutes from Beadnell Bay. House is ideally suited to explore beaches and castles both north and south. Had a truly wonderful holiday at Windy Edge and look forward to returning in the future.

We all enjoyed a lovely stay at Windy Edge in August 2020. We found and accessed the property easily which is one of 3 attached holiday lets surrounded by fields. The cottage was clean and stocked with basic provisions, plenty of cutlery, crockery and utensils and clean towels. There was a hamper of goodies when we arrived which was a nice touch. There are plenty of photographs of this property on the website but we found the property to be even nicer than the photographs suggest. Through the gate at the bottom of the large secure garden you can take a path through the cow field to the beach or another path to the village. The little shop on Beadnell seafront is great, we made the mistake of keep popping to the Co-op in Seahouses but try the little shop first - it is deceptive from the outside. The big bull in the field was hilarious and very friendly, whilst in the garden we could hear him bellowing and went in the kitchen to find him stood at the window staring in - he seemed to enjoy the attention!! Jill was very quick at responding to any queries we raised and couldn't have been more helpful. Great base for exploring the area or just for relaxing and taking it easy.

This was our third visit to this gorgeous house - and we can’t wait to return. It is everything you could wish for in a holiday cottage - immaculately clean, really well equipped, but really homely too. As soon as we walk through the door we just feel completely at home & relaxed. It is perfect!

Perfect property for our family with plenty of space indoors and a wonderful outdoor garden which the children loved. Peaceful and quiet yet within a few minutes walk of Beadnell’s fabulous beach. It is also ideally placed to explore the rest of Northumberland which has so many varied places to visit.

An absolutely lovely house; good size, well equipped & very homely, with a huge garden. Brilliantly situated, in a field, five minutes walk from the beautiful Beadnell Bay. Love the way the cows and sheep come right up to the kitchen window and look right in. In my opinion, it’s the perfect place for a holiday.
